Holidays and Their Perks
Friday, August 12th, 2011All holidays have their perks. Christmas has presents. Spring Break has beaches. New Years Eve has fireworks. Halloween however, has the best perk of them all: Halloween Costumes. It’s a holiday that cant be beat. You get to dress up as whatever you feel like, and there’s something about being dressed up under another identity that makes it easier to just have fun! Not only does getting in a Halloween costume let you have more fun on its own, it opens up a whole realm of conversations. I’ve seen people in Lincoln costumes responding to everything all night in an “Olde-Timey” voice. There’s also fun to be had in spooking little kids with a well done costume. A friend of mine spends the entire early evening in a vampire costume in a coffin propped up by his front door and doesn’t open it until he hears little children at his door. There’s so much fun to be had, and it can come from something as simple as wearing a Halloween costume.
